Special character of this travel
– Lulu Wang gives a lecture to the group distinguished tourists. She tells them about the historical and cultural background of the sites they shall visit. She shall also tell them about the European way of life, for example their love for wine and cheese, about the cultural differences between China and Europe, for example how they deal with each other, how they relate to each other, and about the respectable manners of well-educated Europeans. In this way the tourists can understand and enjoy what they see, hear and taste in the coming days more than ever.

Introduction
This trip will contain a seven day visit of Chinese groups to the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium using Maastricht as a base to visit not only the Province of Limburg but also to visit cities in Germany and Belgium. The aim of the visit will be to give our Chinese guests a general impression of this part of Europe. Furthermore, the base of the tour is not only cultural and historical but also business and leisure related. Because of the intensity of the tour we have decided to fully rent a complete hotel in the historical city centre of Maastricht. The hotel is called De Pauwenhof and houses classical French Restaurant Danyel. The hotel contains 16 bedrooms in the four stars category and is fully air-conditioned. The reason for choosing just one hotel for the entire trip is to assure that our Chinese guests will have a home away from home. The suggested programme will be detailed on a day to day basis. The first day being the arrival day and a day of rest, the second day will be the start of the tour.

Day 2
Morning
We will start the morning with an official introduction by Louis Sohl and Ward Schoonbrood.
Afternoon
Tour of Maastricht, The Netherlands. This tour will include the main historical sites of Maastricht, including the oldest Roman road, visiting the Cathedrals and walking on the old walls of Maastricht as an old garrison, then onwards to the most modern district called Ceramique. During this part of the day we will tell the guests about the shops, restaurants and other sites they may visit later on their own.
Evening
Lulu Wang will give a lecture to prepare the guests for their sightseeing and experience. Followed by a dinner at Chateau Bethlehem, home of the School of Hotel Management in Maastricht.

Day 3
Morning
Visit to monastery of the Redemptorists in Wittem. This is in fact a monastery which is still actively run. We will be welcomed by a member of the Redemptorists and will
get an inside view of the whole building of the monastery including the church, the chapel, the library and the gardens.
Afternoon
Visit to tri-border area of Vaals. From this viewpoint our guests can see The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Afternoon/evening
Visit to the historical city of Aachen, Germany. And again here we will organize a historical and cultural tour followed by a traditional German dinner party accompanied by German music and of course local beer.

Morning
Visit to the city of Liège, Belgium. Liège being the largest French speaking city of Belgium. Early start and a visit to the Liège market which is the oldest market of Europe, followed by a lunch.
Afternoon
Visit to the Grand Curtius Museum. The museum will give an impression of 7000 years of arts and history. Visit to an example of modern architecture being the Guillemins train station designed by Santiago Calatrava.
Evening
Cultural soirée in Liège.

Visit of various castles in the Province of Limburg.

We will organize a tasting of Euregional cheeses and wines combined with a business meeting to accommodate our Chinese guests to meet important members of our local business community and government officials.

Visit to the diocese of Roermond and the historical city centre of Roermond followed by the Designer Outlet Roermond with more than 150 well-known brand boutiques.

Farewell reception to be attended by our Chinese guests and their newly met business acquaintances accompanied by live jazz music.
