EFactor Presents: The Relevance of Yin-and-Yang in Chinese Business by Lulu Wang
In her inspiring lecture Lulu Wang talks about how the yin-and-yang theory influences the Chinese way of thinking and handling various situations. She also talks about some, according to her, fundamental cultural differences between Holland and China and how they inspire her to write successful books in Dutch and Chinese. Lulu Wang is born in 1960 in China. She studied the English language and culture at the Peking University in China. In 1986 she came to teach Chinese in Maastricht, Holland and in 1997 she published her first novel ‘The Lily Theater’, which became an international best seller. In that same year she received the literary price ‘The Golden Leave’ (Holland) and in 1999 she received the prestigious Nonio Internation Price (Italy). Lulu pioneers in digital literature and published her tenth novella ‘Nederland, wo ai ni’ (Holland, I love you!) in June 2012 as a multimedia and interactive book app. In December 2012 this will be followed by the paper book version of ‘Nederland, wo ai ni’.
